and we’re back.
the east south asian sandwich.
the delta on one end.
tibet on the other.
a whole bunch of elephants, yaabaa, giant catfish, casinos, karoake, communism, neo-hippies, noodle soup, jungle, and junta
in between.
it’s a bit like a muffaleta,
except spicier.
…
no more noodle soup!

RIP in TWI.

Today,
a somewhat dry cultural exploration of Ghana,
a fine West African country that I’ve never been to
but I like nonetheless.
To begin,
in Ghana,
there are only 7 male names to choose from.
Kosi, Kojo, Kobby, Koku, Yaba, Kofi
and Kwami.
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
and Saturday.
Figure it out.
…
Moving on.
As it so happens,
Ghanians also celebrate their dead
with all-night throw downs.
No matter if they died in Accra or the Bronx,
it’s all deejays, dance moves and donations
and
no tears, turmoil or tragedy.
Fascinating no?
…
And in conclusion,
My twi name is Kojo.
(Actually it’s Kojo Abaka but now I’m just complicating things.)
and if I die,
just shake your ass for a few minutes
and move on with your lifes.
Ghana!
